Are all triumph rims balanced before mounting tires?
If a bike on the showroom floor has 60 grams of weights on the front wheel and it shakes bad at 95 mph, is something wrong?
If your dealer can't balance the tire and your marc parnes balancer shows you that the front rim needs 60 grams (this is without tire), is something wrong?
If my dealer cared at all, would he tell me that the rim is OK? And it's just the bumps on the road?
How do I get my rim changed under warranty?
Don't they balance the rims before mounting???

Other Motorcycle: Can there be room for 2?
Rims are never balanced without the tire mounted and inflated. Some rims are correct, but most are not (at least that is my experience). I don't know about 60 grams being a lot, but IF the tire is ok (presumably this is a stock tire), and the rim is otherwise round and straight, I would attempt to mount the tire at different points around the wheel to see if you can get it closer to a nuetral balance. I had to have a front tire mounted this way last year. I would think that a cast wheel would be fairly close though (my TBS wheels are heavy as they are steel rimmed).

60 grams is over 2 ounces. I've never seen a new bike with so many weights. 2 ounces attached with tape at 150mph could be a disaster waiting to happen, besides the front always shook at 95mph, even after the dealer tried to correct it.
Now that I'm checking it, I can see why. The dealer is lame.

(Cross-posted in Sprint Forum also)
Rotating the rotors worked. I went from 60 grams down to 20 grams and I could use a heavier valve stem because that's where all the weights are.
I'm using a Marc Parnes balancer which seems to be accurate to 1 gram.
Now, that's a lot easier than dealing with the dealer.
Thank you all for your ideas, once again, this site rocks!!
