There are 6 wires that go to the tail light 2blue, 2red and 2black. there are 6 spade terminals, (3 on each light)

Which goes where?

Hi,

Not sure how much this will help? Both Tail light bulbs are double filament, incorporating the braking lights as well as the tail lights.
Red is + and is live when the lights are switched on.
Blue is the brake (+ to the second filament).
Black is - and "returns" both the red and blue feeds.
The brake filament is the brighter.
I cannot remember the order, but if you look at one of the bulbs you should be able to see which terminals are the two + circuits and the one - circuit.

Ciao,
Geoff

I just replaced my brakelight so it's still fresh in my mind.
looking at the bike from the rear. left 3 prongs are as follows it's blue outside terminal red inside and black on the "vertical"
on the right side: blue "inside" red "outside " again black on the "vertical"
hope this explains it.
