Just changed my spark plugs and took her around the block for a test run and the check engine light is glaring at me. Any hints on what I should be checking for?

Did you unplug something and forget to plug it in? Disconnect a vacume line and forget to put it back? Does it miss, stutter, or act fine except the light?

Ride the bike for 3 heat/cool cycles, and the light should go off if there are no errors codes present.

If you overfill the tank your check engine light will come on. happens to me constantly. Stop filling before you get to the plastic"neck" inside the tank.
Speed3: is right , wait for 3 heat cycles-completely cold -up to temperature, completely cold again, ect
If your light is still on after that post again and we'll try to get the problem solved for you.

Maybe there should be sticky about the check engine light. It's come up several times.
The light will also come on if you run out of gas or disconnect the battery.

Mine has never come on from disconnecting the battery. If you have a Tuneboy, there is a MIL light reset button.
