I am wondering if JB weld will work to fix this problem. The steering stop on the frame is not broken off, but it is dented in which allows my handlebars to touch my gas tank. I do not want to scratch the tank at all because I just got it painted. If JB weld will not work then what should I use? This problem is only on the right side of the frame.

Sure - don't see why not.
You might try making a little 'mold' for it in place out of masking tape; then file to final shape & a little dab of sliver paint.
Should be plenty strong (for normal parking manoeuvres) if you get a good bond - clear the paint of the bonding area first.

Thanks DEcosse I was going to do it exactly how you stated just didn't know if it would flake off, chip, or anything else.
