Hi, I thought this deserved a broader distro than the Tiger forum:

http://www.triumphrat.net/modules.ph...65034&forum=40

A search will find other suppliers & products. Curious what others may find to fit our rides.

My RS rad has 82,000 miles on it and not a problem yet. Dex cool the whole time, though some years ago I recall reading there were problems with dex cool, but haven't seen it myself. I haven't decided what I'll use on the new 06 yet.

From reading, it appears that regularly changing the anti-freeze fixes any issues from depletion of silicates.

i agree, regular maintenance, i.e. changing the coolant on a regular basis is most important. same goes for engine oil, brake fliud, chain lube, etc. using the most expensive oil or coolant is nice if you can afford it but why waste your money if you do your own maintenance and tend to change fluids look before their extended service life?

My dealer uses and recommends Kawachem Alumacool.
It seems to work well in my TBS.

It is also vital to keep any air out of the system. No air, no corrosion. That means fixing any small leaks right away and not allowing the expansion tank to run dry.
