My bike seemed to be running a bit rough at higher RPM's. The dealer suggested that perhaps I had picked up some bad gas. (Ever notice how most everything these days is blamed on gas: cost-of living on expensive gas; global warming on burning fuel; the elevator stinks: somebody passed gas...but I digress).
I changed the dirty air cleaner; replaced the plugs; checked the valve clearances and saddled the Thruxton for a 150 mile spin through the hills. When I shut down, I noticed that white smoke (more like wispy steam) began drifting out of my right exhaust pipe. I then stuck my finger in the pipe and it came out sooty wet (but not oily). (The left pipe appears to wear normal dark, dry soot).

All troubleshooting shooting suggestions welcomed (and thanks for letting me post so I can lose this newbie title).

I'd check the float level first. Sounds like a leaking float needle or float that is too high or otherwise not shutting off the fuel.

Good suggestion, Mojo. Thanks. The air cleaner was so dirty maybe some dirt got into the carb and is messing it up.
