I recently purchased a 69 Trophy 250. I had the bike out a couple of weeks ago and it was running fine, but I attempted to start it the other day and wouldn't run. I drained the old fuel, ensured flow to the carb, and made sure there was a spark, and everything seemed fine. Upon kicking the bike over it bikefires and that is about it. Could this be a timing issue? I can't imagine it would be since it ran fine a couple of weeks ago before I put it in the garage. I know bikes often backfire when decelerating due to unburnt fuel hitting the exhaust pipe, but in my situation the pipe isn't hot enough yet to ignite any fuel. Does anybody have suggestions to help me fix my problem?? Thanks for the help. :???:
