That stupid Mikuni made fuel tap had drained 15L gas to my cranck case.. also that plastic knob has broken..
So i got tired to that peace of ***** and desided to improve it somehow.

I ordered Pingel tap and adaptation plate, without underpressure valve. Should be idiot proof????

As soon as the goods arrive ill get some pics how they fit to my bike.

I'm very interested... how much did it cost ya? Link to the site? Let me know when you get it. I drew up a new knob in CAD, but to machine it would have been too expensive.

Hey Aje,
Did the leaking petcock ruin the carb diaphrams? Mine just started to leak. I've got a stock unit on order. How much did the aftermarket cost and is it a simple bolt on?
Thanks,
Zip

Finally got that tap!

No, diaphrams haven`t been ruined.
Mine is adapted with 44m offset plate, it fits quite good. Tank doesn`t need any mods.

There follows some blue hylomar in the package, its for the sealing surfaces between tank and adaptation plate. Thread in the tap requires some teflon tape, it doesen`t come with.

I had already tank off and it was empty, so intallation was very easy. Only about 10mins and mostly i waited to Hylomar drying up.

My tap is with only one outlet, so I`ll have to add t-piece in to fuel lines.

Pics from
here.

Works fine! Costed something like 80 euros, including delivery costs.
