Took my S3 down to my dealer and had new Continetal Road Attacks installed (bought on line) . They were all saying that tire is spectacular and perfect for touring and sport riding and are supposed to be high mileage (We will see about that) . It took me 2hrs and 150 miles to get them scrubbed in and all I can say is WOW sticks like glue and a great up ride . Of course the Bridgestones were just about worn out ( 4500 miles). But as of right now I am hooked on the Contis. :yayyy:

I've never heard of sporty tires lasting anywhere near that long. Is that really right?! What kind of mileage do you typically get from tires?

I did 27K miles on the 2 bikes last year, 17K of that was on this one, it is only vehicle i have. The only time my bike will get towed anywhere is if it breaks down. Could not tell you what kind of milage i get from normal tires as i pretty much put these on right away knowing i was going to do a bunch of miles. I put this one on at 12k showing on the odometer and currently have 26-27K showing on it. there is still a bit of tread in the middle though there is a nice flatspot there. also never had a problem with grip with it and ya i do actually do turns, only have 1/4-1/3 inch chicken strips. Definatly going to have to replace it in the next couple of weeks though since i have 4K miles of riding coming up in the next month
