I'm replacing the fuel filter in my 02 st and there dosen't seem to be a vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator (sliver metal, marked "Weber", one vac nipple) in the tank plate.

Is this normal? My FSM hasn't come yet. Judging from the amount of dirt on the nipple, it hasn't had a line on it lately, or perhaps ever. The bike seems to run fine, if a bit rich - but that could be because of the (triumph option) tune and slip-on.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

The manual erroneously shows there is a vacuum line attached to the nipple on the fuel pressure regulator - there isn't. The nipple on the fuel plate is left uncovered on '02 and later model Sprints.
