Well, I started with a 4-cylinder CBR1000 and then bought an RS triple. So the next logical step is a twin, right?
Unhappily, Triumph doesn't make a twin my son would be found on (not enough plastic, etc). What's a dad who wants to have a ride with his kid and maybe get on the track once in a while to do? "Imagine" a Speed Twin:
First, get a Suzuki SV650. It has Triumph-like torque and shares some of the looks with the Sprint RS and, if naked, the Speeds.
Paint it in your favorite Triumph Speed color or use the new 40th anniversary Hayabusa orange, which looks like lucifer orange to me.
Do something with the decals and badges and VOILA, you have a Speed Twin!
