Rotating footpegs

My footpeg was rolling within the carrier and flapping under my foot while riding because the alloy tab in the carrier that locks the footpeg shaft had worn away. I drilled and pinned it, but I'm curious as to whether this is a common problem. I have read plenty on here about snapped pegs and cracked carriers, but not worn components.

my right foot peg snapped off last night when I dropped my bike to avoid getting hit by a guy running a stop sign...

Poindexter, I think I remember having that problem with my left peg, but that was after multiple stationary drops from the sidestand bracket problem.

jtm133, sorry to hear it, what intersection did this happen at?

Cheers,
-Kit

Argh, sorry to hear about the near miss, good thing you were on the ball jtm133.

There doesn't appear to be any other damage to the old girl, although I guess that could be easily fixed, as my problem was. Just curious to hear if it was common.
