We are not alone!! sorta off topic
I hear quite a lot of complaints about the gyrations needed to service the T3 Triumphs. We should count out blessings.
Yesterday I changed the spark plugs and one coil on our 2002 Ford Escape V6. I've not worked on any cars much since I got rid of my 1964 Ford Fairlane some time in the '80's.
The coils have epoxy poured over them, just like the T3 coils. the replacement coil has nearly 1/8" thicker layer of epoxy than the originals. That had cracked on one of the originals letting moisture to get inside.
I could go into lots of detail, but to keep a long story short. I spent 6 hours replacing the spark plugs and only one of the six coils. The top half of the intake manifold has to be removed just to see the coils on the 3 rear cylinders. The coils sit directly on top of the spark plugs.
Good news is that it started up right away and the check engine light went out.
That experience made me appreciate the airbox design and the plug location of my T3 Triumphs.
