Triumph Sprint 2002

I have bought a 2002 Triumph Sprint. It was stolen recovered and I bought it through the insurers. The Ignition Barrel had been damaged. When I got the Bike home It would not start so after a bit of head scratching, it was determined that the thief had put water in the tank. All cleaned out it fired up first time. I ran it a few times over a few weeks with no problems, but it has been sitting for about a fortnight now. I fired it up and it seems to be misfiring and only two downpipes are getting hot. The engine management light has come on. I have installed a new Ignition barrel, Tank lock and seat lock. The engine management light was on before I fitted the new locks so that is not the problem with the engine management light. I am trying to get a Diagnostics tool that I can use to see what the fault codes are and reset the engine management light. Can anyone help me find the relevant device. Also where is the plug on the bike to plug the said device in. Many thanks for your help in advance...

crazyfrog, A standard OBDII reader can pull the code(s). Connector is likely under the seat.

Smile Triumph Problems

Many thanks for the help, I found the plug under the seat and reset the error codes and the engine management light. It is still misfiring, but I will do the plugs etc and sort out the mechanical problems. Many thanks....

Did you get the codes before you cleared them? They should tell you what's wrong.

Cheers,
