Neat chain tool
Although I've gone to the EK chain with the screw-on master link, I still occasionally have need of a chain breaking / rivetting tool. I ran across this one at a local Honda shop. There was a note on the box that said that the tool might not work on wider 530 chains, so I brought in a (cleaned up) section of my old 530 O ring chain. It fit quite well and the tool itself seems to be very well made. I used it recently and it did an excellent job of breaking the chain, pressing the side plate and rivetting everything together. The price was only $64.99 CDN, which I thought was pretty good considering some of the other good "professional quality" tools were well over $100 CDN. It's made by DRC Products a Japanese company (but the box says the tool is made in China). I've included a couple of pics so that everyone can see what it looks like. Of course, I ground off the rivet heads before using the chain breaker since not doing so seems to be a popular way to break the pins in chain breaking tools. If you need this type of tool, this seems to be a reasonable way to go.
