I put my fender on but didn't like the way it looked,the radius of the fender was alot larger than the tire,so I took it off and put seven "nerf-cuts",one inch apart and welded the rolled edge after I brought the cut together,one cut at a time.
It took a while but it worked great.
Then I layed a layer of fiberglass cloth across the cuts on the underside of the fender.
Next I'll rough-sand across the top of the fender and put a layer of fiberglass across that.
I'm real happy with the progress,so far.
