Anybody know if the Reserve tank "communicates" with the Main fuel tank? In other words, if I always filled up before swiching to the reserve tank, would that mean that the fuel in the reserve tank is older than the fuel in the main tank, or do they mix?

Thanks,
Andy

Andy-
It's all the same tank. The fuel tap draws from different depths depending on the tap postion. It has been recommended that you run the bike on reserve periodically to "clean out the sump" where any water/particulates accumulate, but the gas there doesn't go stale.

Andy;
They definately do mix. It is one big tank with two different length tubes that stick up into the tank from the petcock. The longer tube would be your "main" tank. Once the gas level gets below the top of the long tube, you switch the lever over and you are now on the short tube or "reserve".
