Hey boys and girls!

Just got my pipes told off quite rudely. I've got this friend who's some kind of genius
when it comes to getting the best performance out of a bike....I just booked an appointment to get my bike on the bench...he took one look at my Triumph performance pipes (the reverse cone kind) and said "boy oh boy...what a heap of junk". His point was that to get the most out of it you need 3 into 1...mine are 2 into 1 and 1 into 1. The only other solution would be some kind of balancing pipe. He could practically promise me another 10hp if I got 3 into 1...he thought I should check out brands like Sebring or Acropovic...seems they don't make any for t-birds.
So...ladies and gents...after all this yakkin' the obvious question is: What pipes should I be looking for? Anyone with any brands they've tried and liked? Help! I can't live another day knowing that there's more power to be found in my bike.

Get the TBS header pipes if they will fit. They have the crossover pipe.

I understand that is the main difference between the engines of the TB and the TBS. The TBS has 83 crank hp stock.

I found some wicked pipes at www.thunderbike.co.nz, has anyone tried these/heard anything about them?

I have heard they are kind of loud, but give good power. Aside from that the only 3-1s that will fit your bike are the ones designed for the 95/96 Speed Triple and Daytona 900. Sebring made the official pipe for the S3 Challenge and Akro makes a 3-1 as well. I believe there is one for sale in the classifieds section of this board.

Triumph_ant sells the header if you want to do something custom. Here is the url Triumph_ant
I had emailed them last week and they quoted me 150.00 and shipping. I believe that is pounds, not euro's but could be wrong.

Has Britain switched to the Euro?

No, we still have the pound sterling.

Does anyone have any more info on this Triumph-ant header?

Unfortunately these guys don't do a 3 into 1 for a T-bird. Seems like good pipes though!!
