Well, took the Tbird out for a nice, long Spring ride today, enjoying the nice weather we've been having.
Then, at the end of a long day, trying to park in the dirt lot behind my apartment, I dropped the bike onto its right side!
Embarrasing, right? But then when I looked up close, I notice that the right side headlight bracket broke clean in two!
So, now, I have to get a new bracket. I've seen plenty of online sources for accessories, where can I order parts like this? If I can, I'll order the bracket tonight so I can (hopefully) have it by next Weekend.
Man, I feel stupid! :brk:

Sorry for your troubles, but it happens to all of us at one time or the other.
Any of the Triumph dealers that advertize here can sell you the part, but it will be pricey.
The eBay suggestion is good if you have patience. Depending on how compulsive you are about the need to have the perfect bike ASAP another option open to you is to have the bracket welded for a few bucks until you can find the part on eBay, or more likely, search for it on Google: try "Triumph motorcycle parts used" and a number of salvage yards will likely pop up that you can contact. Such a process might take a few weeks, but, by welding the old bracket as a temporary fix you can be on the road in a day or two.

Unfortunately, waiting isn't an option (unless I feel like fixing it with duct tape -which I don't.) Can that part even be welded? It almost looks like plastic. The bracket that broke is the large chrome bracket that holds the right side of the headlight, right turn signal, and, on my bike, the right side of the windshield. The bracket broke completely in half (can I post a picture here?) Which means that all that weight is now being held by the other bracket. Not only does the headlight wobble noticeably, but I'm afraid that if I hit a bump, that other bracket will break off, too.
The part in question, if it were on a Japanese bike, would run about $25. Since this is a Triumph, I'm assuming they'll hit me for at least $50 if not more. Still, it's not like I have a lot of choice at this time.
