Poking around on eBay I noticed a nice '01 Tbird, very low miles (around 3600) and very low bidding ($3000 so far) with a couple of days to go. If I were in the market this would be tempting.

Bidding was up to $3850 this AM with only 8 hours to go. Would think that under $5k would be a good price. $3850 would be a great price. Be interesting to see what it does go for.

Howdy everyone....

I was browsing the internet looking for anything related to the Thunderbirds and Google dropped me in here.

All the user testimonials and magazine write-ups on the Tbird seemed to be good. I remember the old 650cc Tbird's from the 1950's and 60's. I had a 1967 Triumph 500cc high pipe, a 1968 Trophy, and a 1971 Bonneville. I sold the two 650's as basket cases about 10 years ago. I rode a Honda 500cc Silverwing for a while and now have a BMW K-bike. I made the mistake of looking at Triumphs today on fleabay and saw this Tbird at a good price and not too far from where I live.

The rest is history, as they say.

I'm going to visit the ebay seller on Sunday and take the bike for a test ride. If its OK, I'll log into paypal and pay for it on the spot, and roll it up on my trailer...
