The rim was $300 from Billetboys.com, pre-drilled and including shipping. Buchanans has Excel rims which are a bit cheaper, but then you have to buy (and lace and true) front and rear rims... or ride with (horrors!) a mis-matched set.

It cost me around $50 the ship the rim and my hub down to Buchanan's... I insured it for $1000 since a new OEM wheel goes for almost $800 from Bike Bandit.

Buchanan's was $220 for new spokes, lace & true the wheel, and shipping back.

New front and rear tires & tubes were $320 from American Motorcycle Tires, who have great prices and were really easy to deal with (they sent me the wrong tube and replaced it very quickly, didn't even want the old tube back). Only problem with buying your own tires is getting someone to mount them, lots of shops around here won't mount tires they didn't sell, supposedly for liability reasons.

So that's what, $840 all told, including two new tires and all the related shipping costs. Seemed cheaper when I was buying it! Luckily it gives me around $50 worth of pleasure every time I see it, so it's just about paid for itself...
