I was out riding the usual hilly twisties that Kentucky is famous for yesterday. On most Kentucky roads, especially in Farm country, one must be cautious of the occasional wild or domestic animal that may happen into the path of motorists, and Motorcyclists.
The day was unseasonably warm for march, in the high sixties, and I got the Mistress out of the garage and gave her a good bath. It is only proper that one takes a short ride to make sure the water is all dried off, and doesn't spot.
Off I go into the heart of farm country. I generally ride a little more aggressive when I am out by myself, but this time, the man upstairs fired me a warning shot to slow me down.
As I came out of a series of "S" curves, I straightened her out and rolled into fourth gear, hit fifth, and there he was.
At least a 1500 lbs of black angus sirloin stood right in the middle of my lane. Its owners had just got out of a Kawasaki Mule to heard the animal back into the pasture, and were also in the road -Oh*****, I said.
I was not running too fast to stop, but probably a little too fast for the conditions, and the country I was in, but being the polite gentleman that I am, I stopped, and helped herd the animal back into the pasture before continuing on.
I did remind the animal to feel free to trample me if he liked, but please don't hurt the bike!
