Corbin seat for a Legend TT?

Hello, Im wondering if anyone has used this seat on a Legend. Im looking in the corbin website and come across a seat for whats listed as a 1995-1997 tbird. We all know the tbird and lengend are pretty much brothers, but Im wondering if itll fit. The bike in the picture looks just like my Legend. Id definitely like to upgrade the seat, and green piping along the sides would look sweet on my green tt. I think itll match up, just wanted to make sure all the latches and allen bolt mounts on the back are the same, and that they havent changed. The link to the seat is below. Any help will be appreciated. Jim

Follow-on question to RIRAT's - how difficult would it be to adapt Corbin's TB seats (specced for TB's up to '97) for an '02 TB? How sever are the differences?

The later T'Birds have bolt-on seats (as, I think, do the Legends) whereas the Corbin seat is made for the earlier T'Birds with a seat pin and a latch fitted to the sub-frame. However, you can convert the later T'Birds to pin and latch (the parts are still available) and modify the Corbin seat to fit.

Lots of threads on this. Use the Search function. Here's one to be going on with (see posts 3 & 4 in particular):

TonyD is correct, you'll need to convert from the bolts to a latch. You can buy the latch assembly from Triumph dealers via the web.

I've got the gunfighter and lady model on my '03 T-Bird. There are a couple of rubber blocks strapped onto the frame for the seat to rest on without wobbling.... probably not the perfect mount, but definitely a good saddle.

BTW... just last Thursday (6/26) I rode from Colorado Springs to Dickinson, North Dakota (via US Highway 85 and I-94) ... 658 miles. About 16 hours, and I obviously didn't push it too hard.

The backside wasn't too sore, and I could still move (even at 50 yrs old)

If I had a digital camera (I don't) I would take some shots of how it is mounted for your perusal.

Anyway, if you get it you will like it!

How about some installation pictures from those who have done the conversion?

Pics towards the end.

It is amazing what you might find folks, if you just try using the "search" function. Most any issue you encounter has probably been covered here somewhere before. Not too much original thought around here, I am afraid!

Thanks for the pictures.
If we shortcut the request, then we might miss connecting with people with something to offer.
