I use Turtle Wax Chrome polish with rust remover once a week during the summer and Meguiar's Gold Class paste during the winter.

Wierd -- not waxing chrome.

If you don't wax chrome, it's a lot more susceptible to damage, pitting, peeling, etc.

I also wax everything that's not plastic except the headlight lens -- including the water hoses and carb rubbers when I've got the carbs out. Waxing the rubber bits helps prevent oxygen/ozone penetration keeps them from drying out and cracking.

I'm running an exposed filter box but I use ArmorAll (plastic cocaine) on that. It makes it shiny and it looks like it's supposed to be that way.

I should point out that waxing the tires and brake rotors is a really, really bad idea.

Jim

I vote for dear old "BRASSO" available in grocery stores everywhere in the US I think. It cleans and polishes--but wait! it doesn't wax-- For lasting protection, slather on your fav auto wax.

Turtle wax chrome polish and move to the southwest where 10% is humid. Chrome looks good but our skin looks like dry leather.
