Just got my new tires put on (AV45 and 46's) and they feel great so far. Alot safer than the original hard sidewall cracking Avons that were on it when i got it. Now i would like to make the bike more visable at night. I seem to remember somebody talking about making the turn signals running lights too. has anyone done this? Is it an easy job? How is it done?
Thanks for any response...........

Here are some web sites that might help you out. I have not tried any of these but I hear the Kisan product works well with Triumph models. Good luck!

I did the run-n-lites conversion on my BMW. It was very straightforward. Took about an hour, and that was mostly just working very slowly and careful wire routing on a bike with bodywork.

I put the "Safety Priority Plus" system on my T'Bird last year. It came from www.CompetitionAccessories.com at a price of $65.99 plus shipping. It makes the turn signals do triple duty as running lights, flash for 2 seconds when you hit the brakes before going to full brightness, and also turn signals.
If you want to be seen, this is a terriffic way. When I led one of the rides last season, everyone commented on them. It took me about an hour to hard wire the system in. I took my time and just twisted some of them together before I made sure that I had all of the right wires together before I used the clips. Just something I tried that actually worked the way they said it would.

I had a similar concern. The more surface area that illuminates the better your visibility. I kept this in mind when buying my riding clothes. I went with a Belstaff couriers jacket. The fabric is interwoven with reflective material. When the light hits it your upper body becomes one big reflector. I went with BMW boots that have reflective panels built into the heels. Triumph gloves with reflective strips. The pants are Belstaff with reflective piping. As far as comfort I rate the Belstaff a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. Pricing is fair. Very versatile. Great looking. MOre pockets then even my wife could fill. The BMW boots are sensational. I can wear them all day, walk around in them and my feet feel great. The Triumph glove are okay. Too short in the fingers and the inside stitching presses on the end of my fingers. I usually just pad the ends of my fingers with moleskin and it is tolerable. The nice thing about this approach is if you switch bikes, the visibilty goes with you. Belstaff has a US distributor. They are based out of San Diego. Might want to chack them out. British clothing for a British bike.

Raining like a cow p***ing on a flat rock today. Time to crawl around on the roof and unclogged those d#mn gutters again.

I always find a good ride in the driving rain is a great way to clean my black leathers.
