Question:

Would 95 Tbird pea shooters fit on my 96 Tbird.

I purchased my bike with one of the pea shooters scratched and dented so what to replace it.

Appreciate any info.

They may.

there was only one change point on the mufflers and it was at VIN 71698. the only change described in the parts fiche is that the fixing bolts changed from an M6 to an M8. If your bolts are the same size as those on the replacement muffler you should be fine if they are not it would be a case of trying it to see if everyting else lines up (there were a lot of changes to the TBird at 71698.)

Scot are you saying that 71698 is pre 1995 model year (I was pretty sure it was during 95). Or are you saying you have tried fitting pre 71698 mufflers to your 1996? I'm interested to know how you are so sure they will fit.

I have fitted a set of 95 cans to my Bird. I have 4 sets of cans, ranging from one of the first bikes in the States to a '98. They all fit fine. Changes appear to be guts and bolts.... not fit.
