There is only one way to test the ignitor - that's with the Triumph test tool which your dealer will have - they may need the whole bike in order to test it too as the tool plugs between the ignitor and the main harness.

What are the symptoms? How did you diagnose it?

I have the factory workshop manual... used the test procedures, best as you can without the test tool... Pretty much eliminated everything else... But a new ignitor is 600+ USD so...
This thing was already totaled.. I bought it back from the insurance company and Tuesday is the state inspection to get it retitled... May be parting it out...

Well.....
T-Bird is going on the block...
Is a insurance total... but in great shape.... other then the igniter being bad.. is road worthy

I will be holding it for a while, not sure how long, then probebly putting it on EBay, unless someone from the list is interested in it enough to make me an offer...
I am in the Seattle area..

if you want to know anything or offer on it contact me at

I see the igniters on eBay quite often. Also, have you thought about checking with a breaker?
