4,500 RPM's and the engine dies, and the reason is.. MICE
Hi all. I've waited about 2 1/2 weeks to find out what was wrong with my T-bird. The problem was the engine would cut out at over 4,500 rpm's and the engine would die. Then it started getting worst doing the same thing at lower rpm's. The engine would die then it would be tough to start, then the same thing.
I took the tank off, checked the gas flow, drained the carbs, checked the airflow valve thing on the back of the gas tank. Did this, did that, but I never checked the air cleaner. I limped the bike down the road to the shop Saturday. They took a look at it today. There was a large mouse nest in my air cleaner. They removed that and changed the 3 spark plugs and did a few other minor things, took it for a ride this afternoon and said it runs great. I get to bring her back home tomorrow. Ron.
