Has anyone here ridden both the new 865cc T100 and compared it to the 900 Tbird? I am wondering if the bikes feel similar as to acceleration, cruising speed and braking. If my Tbird is going to go up in smoke I doubt I will have the funds for a Tiger which is my first wish so it will either have to be a T100 or another brands bike (most likely a Suzkuki DL650).

Just curious as to peoples impressions of the T100 who are current Classics owners.

Tom,

I rode a Thruxton for 20 - 30 miles. It was during a group RAT ride and we swapped bikes for a few miles. It is the same engine as the T-100. You'll not like the vibration, although it's not real bad. And I think you'll be a bit dissapointed with the acceleration. I think the handling would be enough different that my impressions of the Thruxton would not be valid comparisons.

Denny, thanks for the reply. I have to admit it would be take a lot for me to go from a triple down to the vertical twin.

I still think your T-Bird is really jealous of that Rocket. All the Bird needs is a little more attention and some TLC from you. Maybe treat it to a new accessory or something?

HAHA...I am actually dying to ride its wheels off again. It gets great fuel economy so I would love to commute on it every day again .
