Question TBS or Bonnie ????

I have a Speedmaster at the moment and I love it, but I live in some right twisty roads and was looking for something more suited to the hills here

I was thinking of a Bonnie but then I saw a yellow and black TBS and started to question my sanity.

So I know you're all bias here but which really is the better bike ( Oh dear what a weighted question)

We're more than biased we're addicted ! Get the TBS whilst you have the chance, there's not many triple classics around now, collectors items. Bonnies are a dime a dozen !

Ride on !

p.s. the TBS will blow your Speedmaster away, that's what you're looking for isn't it !

I have a Legend and love it. When we visited your neck of the woods (stayed in Hereford with many cross border raids) all I could do was wish it was my Legend instead of a rental car I had for those lovely roads. The speed camera says I did OK with the rental though!
I would do a triple in a heartbeat. Lots of smile per mile!

Without doubt go for the TBS. You already have a cruiser.
A Sport Bike ( "Sportier" perhaps is a better term) is just the answer for when you feel like more than putting around
And the TBS fits that bill without question.

Ride them both... only way to know what you like better. I think having 2 bikes that are so similar is kinda crazy, but it's all about what you want. Have you considered a sports-bike?

The Speedmaster is the single worst bike produced by Triumph (not counting the Bonneville America) in it's history, and I'm including the Tigress scooter in that comparison.

I'm sure it runs fine with it's made-in-Thailand engine, but the styling mistakes are many, the regular Bonnies and Thruxtons are WAY better (all my useless opinion of course).

That said, and being the owner of a yellow-and-black TBS, I can say with some authority that the TBS is WAY more fun than the strangled twin.

Although I was tempted to trade the TBS for a T160 a couple of months back

A bit off topic but to answer Emanthehorse's statement about Triumph engines made in Thailand, Triumph says all there engines are made in England and for those bikes which are assembled in Thailand the engines are sent there.

Here's a link to a thread on the old Thai factory question, post number 281
