Does the Corbin Gunfighter & Lady Seat fit on the later Tbirds?

The only listing I can find lists Tbirds from 95 -98. I believe the rear subframe changed ?

In theory at least you could make one fit, see the thread on fitting a TBS solo seat to a Legend. It woudl involve fabricating and adding brackets and packing out the seat pan in the middle.

Fitting the gunfighter seat to the TBS requires moving the pin on the seat, if the Tbird and TBS share the subframe that's all you need to do.

No, unfortunately they don't share the same subframe at all:

The TBS subframe only changed with respect to exhaust mounts over the lifespan of the bike. The Tbird on the other hand had 3 different frames. The 96-98 being similar to (but not the same as) the TBS. The differences being mainly the latch position but also a lower stance.

The 96-98 Tbird's rear subframe is close enough to the TBS to make the seats interchangeable by moving the latch pawl.

The 99-on TBird rear subframe is shared with the legend and is totally different from the TBS and previous TBird subframes (it even uses different side covers). It dips down in the middle (to lower the legend seat height) and uses a bolt on seat.

The only good news is that the mounting for the latch was left (common pressing with the TBS one assumes) so you can retro fit the latch system as has been described elsewhere and then with a little packing you can make earlier seats fit - though there is an increased gap to the side covers.

I used this method to attach a early model king/queen seat to a 2001 thunderbird. I had to adjust the rubber bumpers under the seat to match the profile of the sub frame. As a result the seat sits a bit higher. I bought the latch and attached to the mounting point on the frame. I'm pretty confident that you could fit the Corbin following this method.

Ok well that idea is scrapped, I dont have enough time to stuff about. Winter is coming, and I want to make it comfortable to ride the bike home from this here job to Queensland. (Aprox 2000 klms) I rode the bike down here over a period of four days, the pain was bad enough..
I will find a good upholstery dude/motor trimmer and get it remade before I leave. Hopefully I will be able to try it out firsthand.
Ihave no intention of paying 400 good Aussie dollars for a seat I have to modify.

All can be done on such ladies...

I really have adapted CB400 seat on my Adventurer with the idea to find lotta more interesting and cheap seats to little exhibitions and fair.

(Front pin inserted and small modify on subframe - I promise some pic when it comes back to wheel transfo).
