2000 Adventurer

I have a 2000 Adventurer that I bought last summer with 4300 miles on it.I t seems to have the alternator bolt death rattle.I've read that wasn't to common with that year and model but i'm finding that around 2200-2600 rpm I get a rattle/vibration that sounds like the symptoms of it.Lately I notice when I first take off on a ride at about 65-70-plus mph I get a high pitched squeel that goes away as I drop speed,it also goes away as the engine warms.Any thoughts,is there a fix other than new alternator?
I'm also working on a new T-shirt slogan the back says,"Because you can't do this on a Harley." the front says TRIUMPH or any other brand of bike. What do ya think.(nyuk.nyuk.)

Oil your speedometer cable, check your chain adjustment and check those stupid little chrome shields that cover the junction of the exhaust pipe and muffler -- one tab breaks and they rattle.

Also, there's a vibration at 2500 - 3000 rpm that's caused by the vibration damper shaft the front of the engine. If there's anything loose on the bike it will vibrate somewhere in that range.

FYI 4300 miles is only about half way to break-in on these bikes.
