Coil/spark plug lead switch- problem or not?

While performing a valve adjustment I noticed the number 3 cylinder (right side as viewed from rear) had a lead from the coil with the number 1 on it.
Bike has been running fine, previous owner replaced bad coil last summer with Nology. Did the leads just get switched, and does it matter? To sum up, the coil closest to the rear of the bike is supplying the #3 cylinder, but has a lead marked #1 on it. Problem or not?

As long as the #3 coil connects to the #3 plug, the number on the wire doesn't matter.

Just be sure you don't connect the #3 coil to the #1 plug or you WILL have a problem.

Thanks Jimmy, but still a bit of confusion. Is the coil closest to the rear of the bike the #3? I would assume so, as the bike has been running fine, but can't find any references in Haynes as to numbering of coils.

The coils run 1-2-3 from front to back and the cylinders run 1-2-3 from left to right.

Makes sense since the plug wires are all the same length.

Thanks guys, that puts an end to the question. I'll just swap out the leads from the coils to the spark plugs.
