i just got done painting my 99 legend. I took off all the green and sent it in. While it was at the painters i thourly went through and detailed every nook and crany. This thing is slick. Now i got the parts back, filled up the tank and put it all together. I have hooked the gas up and have turned it on. It wont start. I will turn over and over and over, it just wont fire. any ideas?

You have to start with the basics. First of all check that you have sparks, and that fuel is getting through.

Yeah, let's see a picture!

I'm thinking of re-doing/painting my '99 burgundy/red Legend. Not a fan of all the black, so I'm looking at polished/chrome covers, gray powdercoating on the frame and maybe copper or British racing green for the gas tank and fenders.

Wouldn't mind getting something new, but the notion of personalizing the Legend kind of strikes me as fun - and a lot less expensive.

If I'm not mistaken, won't the covers for an Adventurer fit a Legend?

Looks really good, I noticed a yellow TBS on the same page adn got confused, wondered how you got that seat to fit, then found the right folder. Very nice. What prompted you to change the color, just want something different?

I ride with a guy that has the tbs with the same paint sceme and fell in love with it. i didnt like the fact that the black strip didnt come back so far, so i made mine come back farther. I got the bike and it was green and didnt really like it (yet it seemed that everyone else did). There was a big dent in the tank, and in the front fender and i was going to get those removed and repainted green but then i saw the guys tbs and just went ahead and painted it too.
