I saw the post where one of you guys had fitted these wheels but had also changed the front forks. My question is whether Daytona wheels would be a straight swap for the '03 TBS wheels, or would some modification be required?

I'm one of those guys.
The fact that I swapped the forks is a good indication that you will need to as well. You will need Daytona front callipers as well. Mick used ZRX bits as well, but you will still need the ZRX froks and brakes.
PS. These are the carbed bikes (Daytona, Speed Triple, Trophy, Sprint parts) not the later FI bikes (T595/T955).

So it's probably easier to just transplant a complete Kwaker front end, right?

I'll tell you when I've finished doing it...
I suppose it depends quite a bit on which Kwak you choose... I'm not at all sure the steering stem & bearings will be compatible, which will mean custom parts... which will mean $$$

The ZRX yokes are the same dimensions as the Thunderbird items so you can use the Triumph parts.
The Daytona front axle is the same diameter as the ZRX and Thunderbird front axle. As TBSStunta points out your problem comes with brake disks. You would need to find disks of 310mm in daimeter that when bolted to the Daytona wheels would end up in the right place for the TBS calipers. This may not be possible without having some made, but if you could find some that would work....

So basically when all that's done there's not a lot of Triumph left, eh? OK bit of a rethink due.
What amazes me is, although I know that Triumph worked with Kawasaki on designing the bikes; how do you guys find out what will fit? You must have access to a whole junk yard full of busted up bikes! Thanks for the info.
