You are in luck. I just changed my fork oil a few days ago. It takes a little over a liter to replenish (I have the Showa forks). I ended up running back to the Yamaha dealer to get another 1L bottle - just get 2L and you will be set.

Be careful how far you go with thicker fork oil. I hear a lot of talk about this here, but it will slow down the responsiveness of your suspension. I would increase it more than 5w over the spec from Triumph. ( I bet this will start a bit of chatter here! ) If that isn't enough, you should consider changing to stiffer fork springs, or progressives.

I sent you some pictures Detroit. I have yet to figure out how to make a photo album. I guess that means I am old. Good Luck.

Imperial Green vs. Racing Green

I looked at the color chart for both the Imperial Green and the Racing green; they have the same numbers. Does anyone know if they are different, or are the same colors.

I'm painting my bike Imperial Green (decided it was "different" from most other colors including the Cardinal Red).

These were listed on the Triumph site below:

IMPERIAL GREEN SCHOCH 673 CAL 28 T3120300-HERACING GREEN SCHOCH 673 CAL 28 T3120300-HE

They are definitely different colors. The Imperial green is "greener" and BRG is darker. I had a Sprint painted with BRG for a while, and the early T-Birds were painted with it. Also, there are still a lot of Harley riders out there who simply will not ride a green bike, but it is less of a stigma than it used to be! Had something to do with Triumphs beating them on the track, I believe ;-)

Here are some of the primary Triumph paint colors, but no Imperial:

DO, welcome aboard and congratulations on your Legend. As you've seen, if you have a question. Someone here will more than likely have the answer.

Having seen an Imperial Green Legend in the sunlight its hard to argue that I- Green is the best color for that bike.

That's what I thought...the older MG cars were painted British Racing Green. The pictures I've seen of the Imperial Green show the color to be much brighter.

Because the chart shows both of these color codes the same, I'm worried now I've given my painter the wrong color specs. I'll have to do some more research to make sure I get the right color specs, or else I'll be buying two quarts of paint.

OK, I went back to the Triumph UK site and looked at the codes again. I found they have a different listing for the British Racing Green, but show Racing Green the same code as Imperial Green.
