Hi all-

My friend is going to install CRG bar end mirrors on his TBS. Does the bike already have bar ends which the mirrors can clamp to, or will he need to purchase the internal bar adapters as well? Thanks.

Dan

a stack of 7/8 OD stainless washers and a longer version of the screws that hold the bar ends on is what's required. I have the CRG's. I went the above route as it was cheaper. I can't remember if the adapters will actually work - they wont if they have to fit inside the bars as the TBS bars are not hollow on the ends.

Thanks Mick. Would you happen to know the screw size for those bar end bolts?

CRG Mirrors

Hello,

I am looking to do the same. I just got my CRG mirrors in the mail.

Is there some sort of tutorial on the web to install these things?

Thanks,

K

TBS Bar End mirror mounts

There isn't any space on the end of the bar to clamp the mirror to, nor can you install the internal mount adapter they sell:

because the stock TBS Bars have a (5mm) threaded insert welded in the end. What Mick is suggesting is to fasten a stack of washers to the bar end insert that will create a surface for the mirror to clamp onto outside of the grips instead of trimming or moving the gips and controls inboard to create the clearance.

it works a charm I used it for a while unil I changed to non OEM bars, I then just moved my switches etc to reveal the right amount of bar.

If you cant get washers quite large enough to bite you can wrap some black electrical tape around the stack too.

I did this too - when I unscrewed the bar end weights and discovered the lack of hole I fitted an ebay (£5/ $10) Renthal bar off a Suzuki Bandit - the mirrors make up for the loss of the weights....
