Know a guy that races Thruxtons and he couldn't find tires to fit and finally put a bias tire on one end and a radial on the other. Won many races with this combination. He is an expert rider and can overcome any tire waggle tendencies. This points up the fact that name brands could also be mixed and matched without too many problems. Just a thought.

There was a question sent in to Cycle world magazine just a few months ago about the compatability of radials/bias ply tires. Their answer was that a while ago, when radial motorcycle tire technology was new, tire mfg's recommended that you used radials as a set, front and rear, now that it is better understood, some new models (the new Star/Yamaha cruiser, for instance) come this way (rear radial, front bias ply) from the factory.

I just put a set of Avon tyres on my Adventurer. I think they recommend the Storm/Azaro combination due to size availability. I had them on a Kaw Concours and they handled great. Haven't ridden the Adventurer enough to really comment other than they are a big improvement on the weatherchecked scary things on when I bought it. I'll know when I finish all the work and put some miles on it.

Avon Azaros seem to work nicely and last well. I like them.

I second the Avon Azaros. I have a couple thousand miles on mine. They look and handle great.
