Magnetic Oil Drain Plug

In the well written and photographed article on TBS oil change, the Webbikeworld writer referenced magnetic oil drain plugs available from C.G. Enterprises.
Is anyone using this and if so, does the magnet hold metal particles when removed? As a new Legend owner, I would assume the longer than stock plug would work in my machine, but would certainly be more comfortable if someone could confirm this.
For those who, like me, are getting ready for the yearly oil change, the article was well worth the read.

I got one at AutoZone for 2-3$, took my old drain plug to vfy- I think it was for a Honda car, seems long but I checked and no hitty crank- have not changed oil since but they have "seemed" to work on other engines

I bought some super strong small magnets and mounted them on the inside of the oil filter to catch any loose ferrous metal that might be floating around inside. I also put them in the front axle hole to help trigger traffic lights. Seems to be working out in both instances. I haven't changed the oil to see what I may have trapped but will report any findings when I do.
