I use those extra RPMs more often than I should.
I'm running a S3 ignitor with 955 Sprint cams.
The sportier cams only start to come alive in the upper midrange, so the stock rev limiter cuts them off just when the bike is pulling it's hardest. It gets a little scary (thrilling

) in those upper ranges.
You didn't mention if you had the D&D 3>3 or 3>2 slipons.
I had some issues with my 3>3 setup. The rev limiter didn't seem to make as big of a difference until I got a 3>1 and got the jetting dialed in.
