I am considering ordering 3 ignition coils from nology. Just wondering if someone can give me a quick overview what I might encounter, i.e. fit, lead differences ect. Putting them on the 97 bird. Thanks in advance.

Sadaddy.

I put a new set of Nologys on my Legend. They bolt right on. You have to modify the end of the spark plug wires with plug ends that are provided with the coils. Easy install and great performance.

The Nology coils are a direct bolt-in replacement except for the high voltage connection.

If you're using the Nology plug wires it's no problem, but if you're using the Triumph plug wires it requires a bit of modification and replacement of the connector at the coil end.

Let us know if you need info on modding the wires.

I will probably be asking you about this in the next week or so when mine arrive from Nology.

I tried the other resellers / suppliers and they straight away cancelled my order "no stock and we are unsure when we will have them"

Thanks alot guys. I spoke to a sales rep. from nology and he said that the coils come with the new wires so hopefully this will be a piece of cake. If I run into any unexpected stuff I'll take you up on your offering of advice. Again thanks so much, its so cool to know there are alot of people here willing to help!!

Sadaddy.

How do these things improve the performance of a bike?
I have a 2000 Legend and I'm new to understanding the mechanics of motorcycles.
