Ignition coil order

This should be an easy question for you guys.

I recently completely removed my HT leads during a valve clearance check of my 2003 Thunderbird.
I checked the HT leads were labeled and I know the cylinders are numbered 1-3 left to right (sitting on the bike).
But what is the correct order of the coils. I suspect that its 1-3 front to back because the HT's seem to sit comfortably in this position.

I would just like to have this confirmed. I have read my haynes cover to cover and found no mention. I am having nightmares about sparking with a valve open or something.

This is my first post as up till now all my questions have already been answered somewhere on this brilliant site.

Thanks in advance.

Iginiton coil order

there is a picture on this page:

that confirms the order you suspect (front to rear) 1 - 2 -3. Look for the yellow labels on the plug wires. Pretty good article too.
