The resistance on the primary side of the coil is 0.63 ohms and the manual gives a 10% tolerance.
The secondaries of the coils are difficult to measure since there's a pair of diodes in series with the winding and you need a volt/ohm meter that puts out greater than 1.5 volts when in ohms mode. Not many meters will do that.
The best test for the coils is to hang a spark plug off the coil high voltage lead, ground the big end to the chassis or engine case, and then crank the engine.
A fat blue spark says you're OK but a thin yellow (or no) spark says that either your ground to the spark plug is bad, the coil has failed or your battery voltage is low.
