Tbird Sports faring
Has anyone fitted a sports faring to a Tbird Sport? If so have you got any pictures or info as to the supplier and what was involved in fitting>

Hi,
By a Sports Fairing, do you mean something similar to the Triumph offered Fly Screen for the TBS?
If so, there is a company who have been producing fly screens for Ducati Monsters and have now started offering variations for the Bonneville range. I suspect they can be adapted to our classic triples. They look very neat - take a look at: www.dartflyscreens.com
Ciao,
Geoff

should be pretty easy - the headlamp is part of the fairing, pulling ir forward would let you get to the mounting tabs on the headstock (vestigial from the other t3 models). You could fabricate a bracket to hold most of it from there. For the sides you could add brackets that wrap under the tank.

Me too Wombat But How ????? don´t know, it won´t be easy i think.
First my other mods maybe next winter a fairing.
Will try if the fairing from my Ducagiva will fitt (not to use it)
I think you need a good front bracket
Like this??? http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/.../brackets.html

Ah..., a half-fairing?
The yellow TBS looks to be fitted with what I think of as the Norton Commando road-going "race fairing"? Aka, the Rickman Commando racers.
Similar to this link: http://www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk/063935ATY.htm
The fairing was produced originally as the Rickman (Matisse) Avon fairing, and was fitted to a number of Brit and Matisse framed Japanese racers.
I guess with the position of our handlebars (rather than clip-ons) a half-fairing like the one fitted to the old Honda GB400/500 models would be good, but I don't know if they are available?

The parts list drawings show 2 brackets on the headstock, but my TBS has only one.
Is this normal?
I am also wondering if the OEM fairing bracket from an early T3 could be easily modified to mount one of these fairings.
Anyone have one (even a damaged one) that they could send me to try out?

Maybe I'm being dense, but how do you turn with that fairing attached to your headlight? Seems like it would severely limit the range of your front forks...
