Hi,

I know of two companies that have offered T300 steering damper kits, and I think they were born out of the Speed Triple Cup. You may like to take a look at the following old post: http://www.triumphrat.net/t3-sport-t...ed-triple.html

Although produced for the Speed Triple, I suspect the kit will work on all the Thunderbird models, etc....

I guess you are interested in this because you like the look, or because your TBS is highly modified? The standard Thunderbirds models are very stable machines normally.

Hope this helps?

It certainly isn't necessary on a stock TBS unless you have steepened the rake and do a lot of track days or ride on very rough roads. I have a Sprint damper and it works well. I'm not sure of the mounts are still available though. I can confirm that the Sprint damper was for the speed triple cup kit (that's where mine came from).

Exclamation .....just in case........

Hi,

A warning just in case anybody has a Steering Damper Kit to fit. One supplier appears to have provided bolts that are too long for the cylinder head mount. If you have one to fit, it will be worth double-checking the bolt lengths - see this post on the T3 Sport / Touring Forum: http://www.triumphrat.net/t3-sport-t...mged-cams.html

Regards,
Geoff
