re: Ebay carb screwdriver

this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motor...4407QQtcZphoto

mine came yesterday and it's a very well made tool , BUT it will not get into the #1 pilot screw because of the coolant pipe and the starter terminal boot

EDIT : well this am i was out playing with the bike and had the side covers off , wedged the back of the airbox up and voila , it fits !

nicely made tool , good price and the seller shipped fast .

I'm more of a parallel Twin kind of guy, so if theres a way to get to everything on a triple with the carbs in place then don't listen to me. But If it was any harder getting to 2 carbs apart, I'd be pulling them out and re-jetting on the bench where I could get to everything. Just MHO. Just today I re-jetted mine for the first time (novice) with carbs on bike. It was nerve racking so went slow and didn't force anything. Runs great Good luck with gitt'in yours done.

I have that tool. I do all three from the right side of the bike.
It does bend a little from me putting upward pressure on it, but it works.

I am pretty sure I managed to get to the #1 screw from the left, with no problems.

Well mine arrived in the mail yesterday.
As soon as my wife moves her car out of the garage tomorrow to go to work, I will be down there trying it out.
I was thinking I might put some marks on the scale to make it easier to judge the turns.
Maybe a red Sharpie mark at each 90 degrees?

Whats with the postage?

I can buy the tool for $49 and then it costs me $32 to get it to Australia...............ouch!!

I'll have to think about that.

Job done.
I have to admit that I too could not get to #1 from the right side and even from the left was awkward until I removed the horn.
