Thumbs up triumph thunderbird gearlever

hi everyone i am new so please excuse me if i do not get this first posting right i am hoping and praying that someone can answer this rather silly question i have fabricated forward footrests with remote linkages to the rear brake and gear lever i am very pleased with the mod wich i used all last summer but can anyone please tell me if a triumph thunderbird sport gearlever will fit a triumph thunderbird i know this is a rather strange question but i want to fabricate a gearlever with a balljoint on so that i can attach a gear linkage rod the original i was happy with but it was only a temporary fitting now i have proven that it works i would like to make something a bit more substantial

Hi,

I'm not absolutely sure, but it may be worth asking a few more questions? The Sport's selector drum is the reverse way to the standard Thunderbird's selector drum, so you could have four/five gears up and first gear down by fitting the Sport parts?

Perhaps this picture of the Raask Thunderbird Rearsets may help, when compared to the Sport sets?

Ciao,
Geoff

Good point!

It's reversed so all you have to do is reverse the TBS lever. Aim it 'up' instead of 'down' or whichever.
