Seat Mods

Has anyone looked at adapting a Bonneville solo seat to a classic? I have been looking but have not found a picture of the underside of one. The reason I ask this is that there of course many after market solo seats that would look great on my project Adventurer.

Mellow, the stock new Bonnie seat,Thruxton, solo, king and queen and Scrambler seats all share a common seat pan. This one.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, any chance you wold measure the overall length and width and the inside edge width and length? I would like to have a little more info before buying a used one for fit. I was also thinking I might could reskin a Thunderbird pan with a Bonnie solo seat cover. Thanks again.

tip to tip-29"
outside edges-13 at widest point
inside at widest-11
at rear bumpers-10-1/2
front bumpers-8-1/2
shallowest pan depth [sidewalls] 1-1/2" w/o bumpers
bumper height-3/8"
The pan is plastic of course and can be re-contoured and the sidewall flare straightened up [narrowed] with some careful heatgun handling.A formfitting fiberglass pan can also be made relatively easy using the stock pan as a mold,or for a lower profile and seat height,a pan pulled from your frame. For example:
