S3 Headlights on TBird???

I like the look of the dual headlights on the Speed Triple and am wondering whether anyone has put them on there TBird/Sport???

Any ideas of what it would take??? Fabricate a new bracket??? Power adequate for the two lights???

TIA

you might be able to make the stock Speed trip bracket work with the existing tabs on the headstock - the TBird frame has 2 substantial tabs with captive nuts which were used on other (faired) T3 bikes such as the Sprint and Daytona. One of the biggest problems you will have is what to do with the bunch of wiring and conectors which currently lives inside the headlamp shell. I dont know if you could fit it into the S3 units in the same way.

ya know , i really like the "bug eyes" on the speed triple too , but personally i don't think they'd look right on a classic triple .

There's a thread in the cafe club section where a member built a "speed twin" from a bonnie.

As for the wiring, some of it can be extended and routed under the tank.

+1 for that. My thoughts exactly. It looks good on the Rocket 3 but that's a much fatter bike.

twould be easy to find out if you were any goos with photoshop - youd need to be careful to keep the relative sizes right to get an accurate idea.

Easy fix!!

Use two 7 inch head light shells.

I got to ride a bit today and took a good look. Two of the stock lights might be too big, so I'm gonna look into smaller diameter fixtures...I still think the dual headlights would look good, just need smaller cans/bulbs. I'm think that the suggestion for moving the connections to under the tank might be worth looking into.
