98 Adventurer-is it stock

I've been reading some of these threads and it is making me wonder what is stock on the 98 Adventurer I bought. It has peashooter silencers and Keihin carbs, Most pics I've seen have reverse cones and I hear they used Mikunis. Should I be looking for restricition in the carb to intake boots to see if that is stock? Also has a saddle that is pretty wide for the rider and a narrow passenger section. This is the first Triumph so I really don't know much about them. Any info is appreciated.

My 1996 Adventurer has reverse cones, and Mikuni's. From what I have read here, your carbs are probably stock, the mufflers, maybe not. You probably have the unrestricted rubber intake manifolds, stock, as well. The restricted ones are easily identifiable by large 1/4" diameter "dimples" in the sides of them. Your seat sounds close in appearance to mine. My seat has the same shape but it has several buttons tufted into it.

GregP,
Yeah, that is the seat I have. Not really used to it, but I feel like it kind of pushes me forward into the tank. will the other styles fit?
Thanks,
Joe

Again, from spending a good amount of time in this forum, it seems that our bikes are very particular in terms of fitting seats from othe C3's. For me, I found that swapping in a set of OEM T-Bird bars really helped the ergonomics overall. The seat/bar/peg relationship just fits me better. I also installed a set of highway pegs that allows me to relax me knees and sit back in the seat when the need arises.
I have read here that somebody removed the cover and padding from the stock seat to find a raised ridge formed into the base which, once removed, remedied this problem.
Much like my Suzuki DRZ400S, the seat on my Adventurer seemed very uncomfortable at first. Now, a year later, I hardley even think about it.
